I insalled a new inlet valve(AP3865372) and I cannot get the water and icemaker fittings to stop leaking when I push the hoses in as far as they will go.

I assume you're talking about the connections to the new valve. If they are the push on type, there should be a ring on the valve that you slide in to allow the hose to fit all the way in. You have to slide the ring and push the hose at the same time.

We always trim the tubes a little before inserting them into the new valve.:)
