I've been reading all the posts and Gene seeme to be the fridge wiz so I was wondering if you could help me. I have the same problem as most everyone here. My freezer is fine but my refrigerater is warm. I have a GE [FONT='Times New Roman','serif']model GTS18KBMCRWW. There was a little bit of frost on the inside back panel of my freezer but I melted it away and the problem is still persisting. When I open the freezer door I can feel cold air coming into the fridge (from the vents inside the top of the fridge) BUT when I close the freezer door I do not feel it anymore. I was thinking the damper control wasn't working but when I looked up my model there wasn't a damper control to replace. Any idea on what might be wrong? I'd hate to have to buy a new fridge if this is an easy fix. [/font]

Does the fan motor inside the freezer run while the compressor is "on"?

Remove the rear panel in the freezer and check the drain and all ducts for ice built-up. Here are the break down diagrams and the parts list for the GE refrigerator Model GTS18KBMCRWWGene.

Hi Gene,
Sorry it took me so long to respond but when I moved out the fridge I noticed that I can't open the back panel. Is it possible that the temperature control could be on the fritz? Do you know if my GE GTS18KBMCRWW has a damper control? I tried to look up all the info on this fridge but I couldn't see a damper control part? Please advise.
In case you forgot (since I took so long to respond) the original problem with my fridge is that the freezer works fine but the fridge is warm (55-60F). I can feel cool air come in with the freezer door open but when I close it I can't feel any cool air in the fridge. I've tried playing with the controls by moving the fridge all the way to 8 or 9 (highest) and the freezer as well but that hasn't been helping so I moved them both back to 6.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
I was just hoping to avoid having to call anyone in so any words of widsom would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks Woodchuckie! I checked those two parts and they are both working fine. Would you know if that would mean that it's definitely the temperature control I have to replace?
