We have a kitchen aid dishwasher that is not cleaning the dishes. I have replaced the upper arm asm because it was bad. I also replaced the nylon radial bearing, bearing ring and the restrainer nut. when we run thru a normal wash cycle and open the door to stop it appears that neither the top arm or lower arm are rotating. It fills with water and will pump it out. So can someone tell me what wrong

Gene. How to you tell the differents between the motor and the pump. When it run it sounds like it goes thru the nomal cycles. It fills and runs and will pump the water out, but it appears that the arm don't rotate. If I open the door during a cycle and look at position of arm and then close the door and let it run again and then open door again the arms have not moved. There is water coming out of the lower arm, but not enough to make it rotate.

Make sure the water level is above the heater. Remove the pump cover and check all impellers and balls. Here are the break down diagrams and the parts list for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDS24SEAL5Gene.

The screws othat hold the pump cover were all loose and 3 had come out which blew the gasket out. I was able to replace the gasket and screws and now it seem to work fine. Thank you for your replys David
