The gas oven takes way too long to heat up. There is also a smell of gas at times when the oven is turned on. This just started happening recently.
The broiler appears to work fine. The burners work fine as well.
I removed the lower drawer and the cover panel behind it and located the Oven Valve. It appears that when the oven is on and I wiggle one of the electrical contacts on the Oven Valve I can hear more gas passing through the valve. Before purchasing the $100 part I want to be sure that this is the problem. Anyone experienced this and solved it successfully?
Thanks.

Gene, Thank you. Your assessment was spot on. The igniter was bad - cracked as a matter of fact. I replaced it with the one for the Broiler to make sure and the oven works. I will now order an igniter. Thanks again.
