hey gene like the title says, the ice machine stil does not work, I changed the water valve and now I installed the new icemaker that you guys sent out, but it still does not draw water to the ice machine, the dispenser still dispenses water but no water will go into the ice maker. please let me know what you think. the old ice maker made ice for about 2 days about a week ago but has not since, so today I put in the new one and guess what, still no ice!!!!!

Dusty,
In one of your previous posts you wrote: "...I find is that there are 2 valves on back of the fridge one is on the left side and one is on the right side. the right one is where the water source hooks up on and the one on the left sends water to either the ice maker or the water dispenser I switched the 2 leads on the top of the valve that is on the left and I could get water in the ice maker when I pushed the dispenser button..."
Can you repeat this test and post the results?
Gene.

And guess what I got the same results as before, I can get water to the icemaker if I switch those leads and push the dispenser. The other thing that I wonder is I just changed filters before all this started and now when you get water from the dispenser it has like a delay before the water starts running. The other thing is that when I checked the icemaker today after I filled it with the dispenser the ice cubes were laying on top of the icemaker kind of like it only half way ejected them. Please let me know what you think.
Thank you Dusty

Dusty,
Did you check the yellow wire from the ice maker to the water valve solenoid for continuity? If this wire is broken then the power will never get from the ice maker to the water valve. The same thing will happen if there is loose connection in the ice maker plug.

Dusty,
Did you remove this yellow wire from the solenoid before the continuity test?

Dusty, If you did everything right then there is something wrong with the wires. The yellow wire should be isolated from any others. Here is the wiring diagram. Gene.
