Hi ALL!
My old Sears Kenmore (series 70, Model 110 (82870120)) is making this clunking noise. It works fine otherwise. It sounds like a nasty metalic clunk when it shifts cycle. Its hard to describe. Any thoghts? Ideas?

Many thanks , Ted

If this washer is belt drive whap happen is that there,s a bolt on top of the gearcase which when tighten down on a small black bracket, it holds two cam bars down in place where two solenoids moves back and forth on the cam bars to change gears [agitation to spin] it,s that bolt that backed off causing the banging noise. IT,S HARD TO GET AT. GOOD LUCK.
