Gene, I was cleaning underneath the refrigerator and bumped the union connector. Now it wont stop leaking....I have tried pushing the connector with the copper tubing together, turning clockwise, counter clockwise and nothing will get it to stop short of closing the valve switch to the right of the connector. I barely touched this part, odd that it would cause this much trouble. Any ideas how to get the leak to stop so I can turn the valve back on? What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?

Using a sharp knife, cut the plastic tubes about 2" of the union connector. Replace the union connector by plugging in the plastic tubes. - The union connector Part number: AP3663284

HI Gene, Here is a picture of my part. The red arrow indicates where the water leak comes from when I turn the blue valve to on. From your response I am unclear as to where I should cut. Maybe I gave you the wrong part name?

The part on the picture does not belong to the refrigerator. Most likely this is a part of a plumbing. Your refrigerator is build in the cabinet and the main water shut off valve probably is on the wall behind the refrigerator. This part looks like an additional shut off valve.
I believe this is not a DIY job. You have to hire a plumber.

Gene. Gene, I have another issue with the refrigerator/freezer which I just posted. Ice cream is soft in freezer, refrigerator is cool, but not cold. Still makes ice... Repairmen charged the system which worked for about 10 days. What else might be the issue? Dave
