A Model Number might help
I assume it did not turn off because the timer did not advance. Is this correct? Try it in a timed dry mode Does it advance now?
If the heater burned out most units will not advance in auto mode Also could be a thermal fuse blew
Also could be you lost half your line voltage Turn the breaker off/on a couple times slowly Better yet check the voltage at the plug |

Hi there!
Sorry the model # is RGL 463 4BL0
You are right -it did not shut off because the timer did not advance.
Checked all timed modes and it will not advance also checked breaker and plug...everything looks ok there
Do you think it is the timer?
Thanks for your help

Here are your parts Model RGL4634BL0Here is the wiring diagram https://www.servicematters.com/docs/wiring/Wiring%20Sheet%20-%203398163.pdfYes it does sound like the timer is shot In timed dry the circuit path for the timer motor is NEUTRAL , DOOR SWITCH , WB/TM timer contacts , TIMER MOTOR , L1 So even with the unit off as long as the door switch is closed the timer should advance to the OFF position. Am concerned that you had no heat. Try running the unit to check this. You may have two problems |
