I have a Whirlpool Model GD25DIXHT02. I just replaced the water inlet valve and now my Ice Maker is overflowing slightly and spilling down into the freezer. Not a flood, but enough to form icecicles on the bottom of the ice maker and puddles of ice on the top shelf. Everything else is working properly, it makes ice, ejects it and refills. The ice cubes are sometimes stuck together at the top, also indicating an overfill condition.
Before the valve went bad, it never overflowed. The new valve was the updated quck connect type. I checked the parts listing for the ice maker and I don't see where there are any adjustments or electronics on the Ice Maker itself. There are two PC boards located on either side of the freezer, both part # AP137510, but they appear to be photo emitters and receivers only. There is also a switch on the right side that turns the ice maker on and off, but again I do not see any place to make adjustments.
My questions are;
1. Is there an adjustment for fill time and where is it? 2. If there is no adjustment, what controls how long the inlet valve is energized? 3. Is there a way to manually cycle the ice maker, and what tests can be preformed? 4. What else could be causing this condition?
Thank you for any assistance.

The water level adjustment screw should be under the ice maker front cover. Remove the ice maker, remove the front cover and turn the screw half way clock wise.
