Works great until drain cycle....timer does not advance and machine is completely silent. Lid switch appears to be good when ohmed and when performing a by-pass test, washer still fails to enter drain cycle. Any suggestions? Also, when checking the lid switch.....what is a normal ohm reading? Again, washer is a kenmore/whirlpool 80 series model number 110.28812790. Thank you, pj3

I too have a Kenmore 110.28812790 and it won't drain, the dial will fill, spin to wash, but then nothing, no drain, no spin, tried it on all the different cycles and the only thing that works is the fill, and wash, but nothing else.
could this be the lid switch?

I would temporarily bypass the lid switch with a wire and see if it works.
