I have replaced the door hinges 2 times in one year. The springs weaken in a few months and the door won't stay shut. After a while the light will stay on because the door won't close.
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks John

John,
What is the complete model number of the oven?

The model # RBS305PDB2
I thought that the springs were getting weak from use or the heat, so I moved the upper pin to lengthen the spring, but that didn't work.
The hinges have been replaced 2X and they work fine for a couple of months and then won't keep the door shut.
This time I put a 1/4 shim behind the upper screw in the hinge and it works just fine, we'll see how long this works.
Thanks for your time.
John

On 2/09 I posted that I had put a 1/4 shim behind the upper screw of a whirpool oven spring assy, it is still working just fine.

John,
Thank you for your reply. I'm glad you were able to fix it.
