I took our dishwasher to the local appliance shop for them to find the problem as it was leaking, not an obvious diagnosis for me.
They called - the motor seals need replaced with a motor seal kit.
They want $260 for the repair.
A new one is $430.
The part is $ 60, see below part:

Here is the link to the part: Part number: AP4365097
Part number: AP4365097

Question:
Is it somewhat easy to replace these seals?

I'm pretty handy, the dishwasher is out and dry.

Thanks.

It isn't a difficult job to do. If you go to appliancedigest.com and register (it's free), you can look for a service manual for your model (or one that's similar), and download it. We have tried uploading individual manuals to this forum, but they're too large to upload.

Here's a parts drawing for your model.

I agree parts-wise it looks pretty easy.
I guess I should have asked a little more specifically are the seals easy to get to and get out and the new ones to get back in.
Also, it looks as though there is a shaft of some sort, is that pressed on to a spindle with splines?!?!

Hi magic

Yep, been around for awhile, just have not been posting much here recently.
Hope to be a bit more active here now.
