I have replaced the control board on this dishwasher four times but each time it fails, the last time was after two weeks though before it has gone for three or four months before failing. So something else must be wrong. It seems to fail when I push the start button so I'm wondering if the switch board could be bad. Also I am wondering if someone could look at a failed control board to find out where the failure came from?
Any help on this would be much appreciated. Overall I am wondering if I should quit trying to fix this dishwasher and get a new one.
Thanks Much, Ken Duluth, MN

Here are your parts Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KUDS24SEWH1 UNDER COUNTER DISHWASHER | AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. Also I am wondering if someone could look at a failed control board to find out where the failure came from? I doubt you will find anyone. They would have to have the same unit and a schematic of the board and manufacturers do not publish the schematics. Do you see any signs of overheating or component failure on the board? It is an electronic board so is susceptible to power surges and line spikes. Is the unit on it's own 15 amp line or does it share the line with other appliances which may cause line fluctuations. I doubt it is the control panel (keyboard) but you could check it with a meter, see the tech sheet. I would have thought that if it was a keyboard problem you would see strange lights on it. |

When I look at the original control board it is wired differently than the replacement part I was sent. It also has a different number but is supposed to be the correct replacement part. If I am not able to get a different control circuit board I don't think I will be able to repair the machine since the circuit boards Appliance Parts Pros send me have all burned out after a short time. I called the repair people where we orginally purchased this machine they said they would not be able to look at the circuit board and find out what is not working on it.
Any Thoughts?
Thanks, Ken Steil Duluth, MN

You could inspect the board and see it any of the components have visible damage.
Also You did not say if the unit is on it's own breaker. I am concerned that if even if you replace it the new unit may have the same problem. |
