started making odd moaning noises,then got to were it would not spin out,it still fills and drains ok,flashing led on inverter flashes 4 times then pause then 4 times, i checked continuity aross red and yellow wires to mode shifter and have nothing...tried clearing codes,and nothing,resets 4 flashes...mode shifter?..how do i check to make sure i dont have a motor problem also?......this is my mom and dads waher,they are elderly and cant afford a repairman or a new washer,please help

thanks....i cleared the code and it comes right back,and it wont even try to aggitate so i guess that means the motor is shot also
