My gas dryer is giving me an E1 error. I've had a repair man out and did nothing but vacuum out everything and said he couldn't figure out the problem. I believe I need a new thermister. How easy it to replace yourself?

If it does it after 60 seconds since you start the dryer then the thermistor is open and has to be replaced. Prior to replace it make sure the wires are not broken and properly connected to the thermistor. This job is pretty simple. Unplug the dryer and remove the toe panel. The thermistor is located on the blower housing, next to the thermal fuse. - The thermistor Part number: AP3919451
