The dryer runs and does not heat. I tested the thermister for continuity and it did not have continuity. I ordered a new thermister. When it arrived I tested it and it did not have continuity either.
I have been under the understanding that it has to have continuity to work, am I mistaken?

Are you sure that you were using the correct resistance scale on your meter? The thermistor is up around 10,000 ohms so the 200 and 2K scales on a meter will show it as an open. |
