Our fridge/freezer quit cooling. the evap fan works. compressor gets hot to the touch. I can't find the compressor relay to attempt to check it. My model has the capacitor that plugs in to the Starter-PTC.

Thanks !!

Is there any clicking noise near the compressor? A lot of frost or ice build up on the inside rear wall of the freezer?

The start PTC is usually connected to the relay.

haven't heard any clicking noises. inside the freezer compartment is 49 degrees & the back wall doesn't have any frost, but I haven't taken apart the freezer to see if their is any ice behind it.

so the start ptc is integrated with the relay? I only have the capacitor, ptc, then compressor.

Here's the pic of the ptc - Model FRT21LRGW5

If it's in the ptc, how do i test it?
