When I try starting the dryer, the sensing light comes on and there is a single beep. But it will not start. As if there is a cut off.

Is there anything I can do to find out more? Is there a diagnostic test that might give an indication?

I read where a repair technician removed the front of the dryer, vacuum'd and it then it started.

I had a large down coat with a gym shoe (to bounce and fluff the garment). That was the last thing I dried.

I hope someone can help. My email is plf999@aol.com.

Remove the toe panel and check if the belt is not broken. There is a special "belt broken" switch which prevents the dryer from start if the belt brakes.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model GGW9250PW0

Found nothing yet. I relly need the help. It's not the belt because the drum turns when I press the More time & Less time buttons. It shuts off after a short time

Ok in your initial post you said it has a single beep and doesn't start or turn at all?......now your saying timed dry turns for awhile then shuts off?

I had to order the Control & Display Board from Sears Parts. It will take 5 - 7 work days.
