I Bought A Maytag Washer A Yr And A Half Ago. Last Nightit Stopped Working. Won't Drain Or Spin. I Have Tried Getting Some Help Since I Paid Good Money For It And Have Not Been Happy With Anyone I Have Spoken To....all They Seem To Want To Do Is Pass The Buck! I Had A Generic Named Washer That Lasted 15 Yrs With No Problem So When I Had To Replace It I Had Hear Nothing But Good Stuff About Maytag. Let Me Say I Have Not Been Happy With Anyone I Have Spoken With Since No One Seems To Want To Help!!!!f

Well I don't know who you have spoken to, if it is repair techs then you know their job is to come out and fix your machine, not tell you how to fix it.
On the other hand our job is to tell you how to fix it. The first thing you want to check out is the lid switch. It is unusual for it to fail this quickly but that is what it sounds like.
