Hi, I have a GE gtr11aaparww, top freezer. The freezer works perfectly, no frost on walls at all. The fridge seems to range in temp from 45-60 degrees, no matter what I do. I've at times noticed water dripping from the front left corner, right where the defrost timer is. Based on this, does anyone know what I should be looking at as the most likely source of the problem? It seems like maybe the defrost system is working more often than it should be, but I don't know refrigerators very well, so I could be way off. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the prompt response. It seems like there was a bit of gunk in the drain connector. It wasn't totally blocked, but it may have been slowed down. If that was indeed the problem, how long should it reasonably take to return to normal temperature?

I was Google searching and stumbled upon this topic. i have a GE TPH21PRSM side by side unit. The freezer is running fine, although even without removing the panel to inspect the coils, I've noticed visible frosting on the inside of the freezer side. The refrigerator was not cooling at all, so after reading a few of these topics I set it to off/defrost. That seemed to work fine, and immediately after turning the unit back on, I could feel the cold air blowing through the refrig vent. However, after just a few minutes of running the unit, I could no longer feel any airflow on the refrig side. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Update: This morning when I checked the unit the fan was still running fine, and the refrig side was somewhat cool with a minor amount of noticeable airflow coming through the vent after being set on max cold overnight. This is what the freezer coils behind the panel looked like.

i have a amana fridge model number BCI21v1w with the freeze on the bottom.
the freezer works great, the fridge isnt getting cold enough (around 50-60 degrees) went through it today, cleaned all the dust out of all the coils..
cleaned out the back, made sure both fans were working. the defrost circuit IS working, while i had the back cover off in the freezer water was dripping onto the defrost element and you could hear it sizzle so i know its coming on.
doesnt seem to be building up excessive ice on the coil.. the inside of the freezer after a couple days will have alot of ice inside of it and frost.. but the seal is bad on the freezer door so i think thats the reason why.. the fan is turning but it doesnt seem like its blowing as hard as it used too? it blows good out of the freezer but not really out of the fridge.. the only air deflector i can find is a air deflector mounted on the fridge thermostat on the back wall, and its all the way open, with no seen obstructions. the defrost timer at the bottom of the fridge is turning as well

Might be because of it.
