first it gave me code pf so i changed the thermistor and now it gives me code f23 but i noticed the igniter does not turn on. Could that be the problem?

The "F23" error code means "Shorted thermistor".

Start the timed dry cycle. If after 60 seconds the error code flashes in the display, check the wire connections at the thermistor and the machine control electronics.

If there is nothing wrong, replace the control board.

Thanks Gene it was the thermistor. I replaced it and it's working now. Guess I bought a bad one.
