My GE Washer is not agitating. Will fill, drain & spin but will not agitate. Can move agitator shaft easily by hand (feels loose). Tried resetting motor by unplugging, replugging and opening and closing lid 6 times. Didn't work. Can you help?

This machine does not come up with a "mode shifter" so the resetting thing won't work.

It may be something as simple as the agitator coupling, this part here.

You will need to pull the agitator, but be careful, it can come loose all of a sudden and smack you in the face.
