My fridge and freezer are not cooling. The lighted temperature read-outs are flashing E and F. This is the third time this has happened. The first time we put in a new defrost timer. The second time it fixed itself after a power outage. We have tried resetting the temperatures, turning it off for awhile and then back on, and unplugging it for awhile and then replugging it. We had a repair man out twice, and he doesn't seem to know what the problem is either.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for FSC23F7HB4 models | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the tech sheet for this unit
http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...f/Anderson/241532603.pdf

And here is a manual, it covers a number of units and does not specifically refer to your unit. The manual is a bit confusing and I am sort of taking it on faith that the error in the manual is the same as yours as the manual does not specifically relate to a DC evaporator fan..
http://appliancedigest.c...ervice-manual-5995501516
You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer.

Take a look at "start up test" Page 29 in the manual, it shows that this is an evaporator fan error.
Your fan is a DC fan so I would start there.
These can be difficult to diagnose and I have no info on them.

Here is info on GE's that also use DC fans but have many more problems.

There are also videos on this on youtube.

Hopefully someone else will jump in with more info or experience on this unit

We unplugged the fridge for an hour, and that seemed to reset things. It has been working since then. Not sure if it will do it again. Will keep your info on hand, in case it happens again.

Thanks
