Per DENMAN'S SUGGESTION, THE HEATING ELEMENT READ 10 OHMS AND THERE IS NO CONTINUITY BETWEEN THE COIL AND THE CASE. ANY IDEAS OF WHAT I SHOULD TRY NEXT? THANKS KEN

Ken,

You may want to measure the current drawn by the dryer on each power leg. Confirm it with the rating on the dryer name plate. Post the results.
