My door latch finally gave up the ghost. Purchased a replacement and now need some direction to replace. Doesn't look difficult and i am reasonably handy with tools and such.

A model number may help others help you.

Also in AppliancePartsPros if you click on the part's picture a second page will open usually with more views and info but often there is info on how to install the part in the questions section.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for ADMIRAL DDB1501AWZ DISHWASHER- UNDERCOUNTER | AppliancePartsPros.com

Unit looks basically like a Jetclean II so the following should help
16021814 Maytag Jetclean II Dishwashers Service Manual - ApplianceDigest.com
You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer.

Sometimes getting the connectors off the switches can be a pain.
I find it easiest to get a screw diver of the correct width and place it between the switch body and the female connector and then twist it to force the connector back. You may have to work from side to side till it loosens off.
