Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 11/23/2008(UTC) Posts: 4		We want to replace our fuse box above our dryer (it's a sub panel). The round screw in fuses are constantly blowing. We have a new fuse box and circuit breaker switch to replace it. The question is how do we wire it?

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 9/1/2008(UTC) Posts: 440		First : Disconnect the sub-panel at the main panel. Second : After verifying that the power is off (use a good meter) remove the wires from L1, L2, and N (Supply from Main) Third : Remove wires from T1, T2, and N (Lines going to Dryer) Fourth : Remove "Edison Base" sub panel Fifth : Install new breaker panel Sixth : Connect L1, L2, N (Supply from Main) Seventh : Connect wires( from Dryer) to breaker. This would be a dual pole. L1 to top half of breaker, L2 to bottom half of breaker. N to neutral buss bar (long silver bar). Eighth : With breaker in off posistion, snap-in to panel. Ninth : Turn main breaker back on Tenth : Turn on breaker in sub-panel. Dry your wash. :)
