Dryer will not start. Dryer was not heating up, so heating element was replaced as it was obvious it was a bad element when dryer was opened. Dryer ran for about a day, now the dryer will not run, i have power and no errors on the display, but when i hit the start button it only makes a click sound and does not run. checked for continuity on fuses, the thermosistor showed to be bad, i bypassed the thermosistor, just to be sure but still does not run.

Here is the parts breakdown Model MDE5500AYWAnd here is a service manual http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16023110.pdfThe click may be the motor relay. Did you remove the wires from one side of any device you were measuring, just to ensure you are not reading an alternate/parallel circuit path? Also note that this unit has two thermal fuses in line with the motor. |
