The part of the upper feed tube that rests on the ceiling of the dishwasher cavity is hanging down a bit and it hits the upper rack when it is in the top most position. Is this piece supposed to be attached? We haven't had this problem until recently.

I have the same problem with an SHI6805UC/U12. The upper feed tube is hanging down from the top groove it is supposed to sit in, stopping the upper basket from pulling out. The tube cost $51 to replace. I was thinking of using double stick or metal tape to hold it up. Any thoughts?

you shouldn't need anyof that with a replacement if something is broke inside the stainless tank holding it would be covered under the 10 or 20 year tub warranty tapes or glue or any adhesive wouldn't hold to the high temps it gets when calling for heat
