I just bought a ice dispenser flapper door kid. I need to know how to remove the face plate so I can install the door support with the new design

First remove drip tray. Look for screws underneath it. Remove them. Then apply upward pressure on the trim. Sometimes it is retained on a tab or track. Other times it is just stuck in place with double-sided tape. Avoid random prying: If you have to force it off, chances are that's NOT the way it went on.

Proceed as mentioned above. Just remember not to force anything. On a Whirlpool, expect double sided tape.

Pry it gently at the bottom of the trim, and when it is free, slide it up.
