My icemaker has stopped making ice. The arm still moves but I do not hear the water running through the unit I have checked all the lines and hoses nothing is loose or bent. I can pour water into the icemaker and it will freeze ice so can you tell me what the problem might be and how I can repair it?

If you can disconnect the water valve to the ice maker, you can check it by applying 120 VAC to its terminals, and seeing if water flows through it. Do this by keeping the water line attached to the valve, and placing it inside a 5 gallon bucket or similar container. Find an old power cord and attach terminals or alligator clips to the end you connect to the valve. Be very careful not to let the ends touch each other or any other metal. Plug it in just long enough to verify water flow or not. You'll save a costly service call/diagnosis by doing this.
