I have an Admiral oven that barely heats up. I recently replaced the element that I got from a local store after our old one got some grease on it and it burned a hole in it. I took the new one back after having used it for a few weeks (it had worked great for a short time) and they tested it and said that the element was good. I now suspect the control unit, but am not sure if that is the right part to get. It costs enough that I don't want to make a mistake and get stuck with a $150ish part that I don't need. I disassembled the back of the oven and got enough numbers to find the following part number on this website: AP4396951

Could it be something else? If so, what? And how would I test the other possible components?

Thanks,

Scott
