Impossible for the fridg section to be colder than the freezer.
If reversed, you either have a sealed system problem, or bad thermistors, or a frozen evaporator.

sorry I must have had a typo.
freezer was 24 fridge 42;
this morning it is freezer 23 fridge 40
talked to tech, said it takes 24 hrs to hit desired temps

seems to be taking a long time. freezer came down 1 degree from 10 pm last night to 10 am this am

Pull the cover off the back of the freezer and describe the frost pattern, partial frost, heavy frost all over, etc.

there is frost about 1/4 inch thick on most of back wall of freezer.
even though the temp on the front outside panel says 23 and 41, we put a themometer inside freezer and it reads 34. all items are thawed now.

If the compressor and all fans keep on running, you have a sealed system problem that was overlooked by the repair guy. I would never use him again, get someone else.
