I just bought an overload relay kit and right before putting snapping it back onto the compressor I noticed that one of the prongs from the compressor is deformed, I assume it got so hot it started to melt. It's the top right prong that goes into the relay (there are three prongs, two on top and one on bottom).




Does this mean I have to buy new compressor? Or
Can I heat the prong up and mold it back into shape?

Second question is that the new kit did not have a capacitor (black box) that plugs onto the back of the white relay, I'm not sure if it got damaged or not, so I will put the old one back on, will the fridge work if it is and is it absolutely necessery to have it?

I have one, the question now is how important is that prong? If I grind it out it would become shorter than the other two, will this be hazard or problem?
