i just got a new door switch(53-0148)the switch has two prongs on one side and one on the other . my old switch has only one on each side. can i use this switch if so do i use the top or bottom prong and what wire go on the single side prong

Joe if you look at the switch with the 2 prongs on one side, you will see on one of them is NO, and on the other NC Put it on the NO circuit, if it does not work there put it on the other one. For some reason, I am brain dead today, but it is no big deal, you can't blow it up. Where is Gene when I need him. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
