After using the microwave in this combo wall unit, I noticed the panel was dark with no PF and no error codes. However, I could still use the microwave with the add a minute feature, but the oven would not work. The panel would only beep. I flipped the breaker to reset and left it off overnight, but that didn't help. I am figuring it is the control panel, but maybe it is a control board (after reading some other posts). Do I need both parts, or does the panel come with the board, or do you think I have another problem altogether? Thanks.

Additionally, now it doesn't even beep; can't use the microwave or oven at this point.

Hi Dale,

Open the control panel and remove the wire plug for the low voltage transformer from the control board. Check for 120VAC between the P16-6 & P16-7 terminals (where the transformers Red wires connected).

If there is nothing wrong then check for 20VAC between the P16-2 & P16-3 transformer terminals.

If there is nothing wrong then replace the control board.

- The part number for the transformer is AP3968801

- The part number for the control board is AP3175501

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool oven/microwave combo Model GMC305PDQ5

Gene, I replaced the control panel and now it says Error Code 1, Fault Code 2. According to the spec sheet it now says this means Touch Pad should be replaced. Do you agree?

Dale,

Which part did you replace? Control panel and touch pad is the same part.
