great machine, but since 3 more people moved in it rinses/spins fine but clothes are still very wet unless extra spin cycles are used. Also - it is slow to fill on the "cold water" setting. Cold water runs feely elsewhere in the house. I see the water pump is available for ~$35 - should I get one before I start digging in? Also - for my machine is their any related parts typically need replacing during a pump swap? the machine is difficult to access. thank you!

Cold water runs feely elsewhere in the house... 1) Pull the washer out, remove the rear cover and check all hoses for a clog. 2) Replace the water inlet valve (#805 on the break down diagram). - The part number for the water inlet valve is AP2618763 Here are the break down diagrams for the Hotpoint washer Model WLW3500RBLGene.

The most common problem with this particular pump is water leak but...you never know.
Gene.
