I have an LG side by side with a water/ice dispenser on the freezer door. In the dispenser is a flap the size of a small coaster that appears to be on a spring and it seems that the spring has sprung. The flap will not close unless I reach up and do it by hand and I cannot get the dispensing unit apart to get inside and take a look. Anyone know how to get the face off of the dispensing unit and how I may be able to fix this once I do get it apart?

BMiller, Here are the instructions on servicing the dispenser assembly, from the service manual for your refrigerator. Just remember to unplug the power cord first, Take your time, and be cautious with the trim parts, and wiring to the control. Once you're dismantled, you'll be able to determine how to reinstall or replace the tension spring. The hardest part is getting into the dispenser, the rest of he repair is pretty simple. Good Luck, :) :) :) 5. DISPENSER
1) Disconnect button assembly by pulling down until it stops and then pulling forward. 2) Remove display frame Assembly by making a gap between the display frame Assembly. and funnel Assembly. with a flat blade screwdriver and pulling it forward. The cover dispenser is fixed with a hook. 3) Display Assembly can be disconnected by pressing the upper part of the cover dispenser and pushing the display Assembly. after disconnecting the dispaly frame Assembly Housing.
4) Loosen four screws with a phillips screwdriver and pull out the funnel Assembly to disconnect. 5) Duct cap Assembly is disconnected if hold lever connecting screw is loosened with a phillips screwdriver.
6) For assembling the duct cap Assembly, insert one end of a spring into the right hole of dispenser lever, and insert the other end into the right hole in upper part of the dispenser. And then assemble the holder lever after fixing the holder at the solenoid Assembly working part.
