Found puddle on floor after dishwashing. Removed front cover near floor on front of DW. Water dripping from center of unit. What am I getting into if I want to do the repair?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FDB1050RES0 Frigidaire/dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is a manual which should help with the repair or at least help you decide if you want to tackle it.

First you have to find out where the actual leak is.
A good flashlight and a small mirror come in handy here. An ideal mirror is the type mechanics etc. use, it is a mirror mounted on an expendable handle.
You could attach a small mirror to a piece of doweling.
Often where it is dripping from is not where the actual leak is.

Hi Denman!!! Did the deed!!! Removed DW from undercounter. Noticed that the motor bracket was rusted. Removed 2 screws and took off the bracket. Was able to pull by hand the motor exposing the 2 O rings. Both rings were very flat looking. I found no other areas on the bottom of the DW that looked like they had a leak or had been leaking. What do you think???

Questions- if I replace the rings will I just have to follow the process described above in reverse? Or will it be a more pressue type fit because the rings are new? If so do I need some type of lubercation?

Yes to both but should not be a huge problem.

I always put a light coating of grease on O-rings, seals etc, when doing any plumbing. They go in easier and have less tendency to grab and twist. Also when I have to take it apart 5 years from now it is easier as the scale does not stick to them. I use white lithium grease as it has good temperature resistance and is white so I do not get all dirty but just about any grease will do. Margarine works in a pinch.
Clean where they fit into and also give that area a light coating.

Good luck with it.

Since you have to pull it apart you might as well open the pump up and clean/check it.
