I have an up right freezer that the drain in the bottom of it keeps freezing up and was wondering how to keep it from doing that

Of course be possitive that you have it clear, and then look at the front of the freezer, it should be higher then the rear. So when you let go of the freezer door, it will close by itself. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

They make "heater probes" that are made from aluminum and wrap around the lower heater portion to transfer heat, just be sure its only in the defrost drain and not touching anything else.
