Said fridge does not respond to temperature change via the buttons in the fridge compartment (LED's always fall back to 21ºC). I found a melted down resistor (R1) in the receiver PC (#2255114 MGR0426 - which I was told has replacement #4389102 as a set). I was, however told, that the problem might lie somewhere else (compressor?) and that another circiut board may be involved, because the said PC does not have anything to do with the cooling and only controls the ice maker. Where do I need to check?
Greetings from Samaná

There's a mild flow of air coming from the ducts but of room temp. So some fan must work. It seems that the compressor does not get switched on, as there is no compressor working sound. I understand there are more electronic control boards somewhere... (Compressor Control Board Assembly, Inverter Box Compressor Control, Power Control Board... ) Next: Check the compressor windings?? Janin

Next, you need to check the electricals to the compressor. This is not the exact same model but very closejust a different run) Model KSSC42QMS00Nat

I will. Let's hope the compressor is OK and one of the circuit boards shows some evident failure (expoloded cap, etc.). In this country it's a bit adventurous to have such a sophisticated fridge (it's a friend's) with a lot of electronics in it, bound to fail because of the sea air and voltage fluctuations. Ours is simple (LG brand) and it has been working flawlessly for ten years... :) Janin
