I recently replaced both boards and now my LCD lights (using diagnostic) is working. Do I have to do anything to reset the icemaker.... if not, when will the icemaker begin producing ice again?

lets switch the electrical leads on the water valve, located on the back of the unit. Then push the water dispenser lever and see if you get water into the icemaker.

if that works, what's the problem? I've never switched the electrical leads -- is this difficult.

Switching the leads is easy. If you get water in the icemaker then it's the icemaker motor module it'se (cheaper to get a whole new IM) if you don't then the valve is not working properly.

I can't find a diagram of the water valve to determine location of leads - I know that's pitiful... can you give me some guidance...

You can look at the breakdown on searspartsdirect. The valve is on the back rear of the machine, behind the lower panel.
just pull the wires off and switch places with them.
Glad to hear you are in the ministry, Praise God! We do the jail house ministry on our own we're not affiliated with a denominational church.
