HELP - my relatively new Whirpool slide-in convection range has developed a weird (albeit common) problem with the control panel. Firstly - everything on the panel works wit the exception of the "start" button which is fundamental in making the oven work. I have tried doing the ole' unplug-and-reset option with no luck except the display then shows "PF".

Csn anyone please help with further diagnosis or possible problem. Thanks in advance!

If all the other buttons work except one, I would assume you have a "touchpad" issue, some models don't have a seperate touchpad and main control unit, in that case it would require a new "clock assembly or main control board"
It is also possible if the touchpad is a seperate piece that the ribbon going to the main control is dirty or has become loose giving only partial connnection, check that first.
