My washer went into the spin cycle and started making an odd noise and wouldn't drain the tub. My thought was that the small water pump (part # AP4359998) had like a jammed impeller from a small rock. i took it apart and didn't see any foreign matter but the plastic impeller is spinning free which struck me to be very odd. Could it be that the motor went out and needs replaced or the plastic impeller broke off a shaft in the motor? Thanks!

I think it is most likely the pump has failed. Try replacing it and see if that fixes things.

Well let's hope that fixes things.
If you buy from this site (and no, those of us who respond are not connected to APP or its parts operations) and the part does not fix the problem you can return it. See the returns policy for details and conditions.
