You might get luck if it's the compressor for certain, doubtful.....but God works in mysterious ways.....and it still be under warranty. If it's the control board or other electricals it wouldn't be..... Nat

Not so old for this, but what do I know. Should we have it repaired or will that be too expensive to make the effort and it's best to buy another? We'd appreciate any guidance. thanks!

If it's the compressor I would say no, but it could be the control board. Have it checked by a tech, a whirlpool tech would be best since this unit was made by whirlpool. How long have you had it? I think we're 45-60 min from Orange Co, depending where he is and what time of day - I miss North Carolina! We've only had it 1 1/2 yrs., bought it from a couple who were re-doing a kitchen in stainless steel.
