HI, am trying to get my sears kenmore 90 series, gas, model number is scraped off, to start up. Had about a foot of water the basement. Had water in the drum. Should I check the burner and make sure that section is clean. Everytime I try to start the dryer, it just goes "trump". Drum turn bat hand, the door switch is working. Is the motor just wet? and needs to dry?
Thanks for any assistance.

If the motor was wet when you tried to start the dryer chances are it shorted out.

I would not recommending this unit. If possible claim it on insurance and get it replaced. nat

I would pull the motor out and bake in a oven at 200 degrees for a few hours, then put 115 volts to pins 4&5 and see if it now runs, but you may have ruined the motor by using the dryer.
