My Whirlpool direct drive washer is no longer spinning fast enough to wring out the clothes on the spin cycle. Washer will fill and drain. When I open the lid during the spin cycle the tub is spinning but not very fast. after removing the clothes I can move the tub freely and hear a slight amount of water in the bottom of the tub. What needs to be fixed?

The problem can be a bad clutch or a bad drive block.

You can find more useful information as well as the instructions in one of our previous threads: http://forum.appliancepartspros...ir/373-not-spinning.html

For any further assistance we need the complete model number of the washer.

Gene.
