I have a problem with my Maytag gas dryer model # mcg8000aww, it gets hot when it first comes on in the sensor dry mode but then the gas cuts off after about a minute and it just blows cold air. If it is on the timer mode, the gas will not come on at all.

The first thing you want to do is be sure the vent is clear to the outside. So you know how strong the air should come out, you should take the hose off the back of the dryer, and turn it on, and feel how hard the air comes out. Then hook it back up, and go outside and see if the air comes out the same. If so, it sounds to me like you need to replace the coils on the gas valve. :) the vents are all clear and air is moving fine, I don't know if I should change the flame sensor, fuse, or coils. Tim

Ok, I will say again. Replace the coils on the gas valve. The secondary coil is bad on the gas valve. By the way you are explaining, you are saying it comes on for a minutes, and heats, then the gas shuts off, and then never comes back on. That is the coil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
