My dryer does not spin when the start button is pushed. I took the back panel off and could see that the heating element was on but the drum does not spin. I replaced the motor and it still does not spin. Any suggestions on what to look at next?
Thanks.

Locate your wiring diagram and check the wires in the harness make sure they have good connections and no broken wires.

Both the drum and the motor are not turning.

Check your connections on the motor. Connection is either loose or somehow bad. Test the motor to see if it is good, you can ohm it out or you can use the belt and manually spin the shaft and listen for the clicking, if it doesn't spin freely or no clicking then the motor isn't any good.

If the heat is on and the motor not running, Either the heater is SHORTED TO GROUND or the motor switch is STUCK!!! PS Check to see if you have 220V to the dryer, The heater will not come on unless the motor is running, Double check the heater for a short to ground
