Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/18/2011(UTC) Posts: 2		New Years day I went to use my dishwasher and it stopped working. It showed no signs of life. No response from any of the controls on the control panel. I immediately checked the power from the outlet and I had 122 Volts. I probed several points on the control board and the control board was receiving the full 122 Volts. I also made sure that the door latch was functioning properly as well as the float switch. I have no other information that I can provide other than I would like to know if simply the control board stopped functioning or if the control panel died? Is there a way I can troubleshoot either component further. Or even worse...am I completely off and do I have a different problem?

One thing you can do is very gently "clean" the contacts in the ribbon, using a soft pencil eraser. Then reconnect the ribbon and see if it made a difference. Also very closely inspect the control board for any indication of damage, like burnt components or charring. Be a ware that even with the door open and the inside panel removed, there is still live voltage in it. Use extreme care.
