My problem is the same (I believe) as the thread: http://forum.appliancepartspros...11518-f1-error-code.htmlCan you provide me with a part number (black) and I'll happily order through you guys! The panel (LEDs) have been hard to read for a while and became increasingly problematic until now it is totally unrecoverable. Will replacing the membrane pad also likely fix the LED display? Thanks, Derrick

I doubt that the keypad being replaced will help what your issue. By your model number your part should be AP172494. Nat

So the other threads on this site seem to suggest that the membrane switch is shorted and needs replacing to fix the F1. Why do you not think that will help me? Or are you saying that you don't think the membrane pad will help my display?

Also, the part number below is for the ERC. What is the part number for the membrane pad?
Thanks! Derrick

The membrane pad will not help the display, that is control by the board. Check your connections first though, noticed on several that we have done that they get corrodid, which causes the same problem as if the control board was out. I like to use the KISS rule first before buying expensive parts. Nat

OK thanks for the clarification! Do you agree that the membrane pad is required to fix the F1/beeping? What is the part number (black) for this Amana?
Thanks, Derrick

It is possible for the membrane to be part of the beeping issue (part# AP93441). Nat

Nat I have the same issue with my Amana ARTSC8651 with the continuous beeping. When it started beeping, it kept switching between the timer and the clock like someone was sitting there hitting the timer button, and finally it would show the F1 code. The oven cancel button would take it out of its fit for the moment but it would come back in a minute or less again doing the same thing. I pulled it apart, unhooked the membrane pad cable, gave it power and the beeping went away and of course only the cook top works for the moment. Does that sound like a membrane pad problem?
